Visual Studio IntelliSense is broken after uninstalling/suspending ReSharper

Sometimes when uninstalling ReSharper, it fails to restore original Visual Studio's IntelliSense. To restore it, go to "Tools | Options | Text Editor | C# | General "and check "Auto list members" and "Parameter information" checkboxes.

Resharper 8.1: I turned off Resharper Intellisense by selecting the Visual Studio radio button in Reshaper options. The above two checkboxes are selected in VS preferences. There is no intellisense at all in VS. Why is it still broken? I even restarted VS.. nothing. (VS2013 Ultimate)

Also consider reenabling errors in about the same place:  Options > Text Editor > C# > Advanced

Under "Editor Help" section, recheck:

  • Underline errors in the editor
  • Show live semantic errors

I'm betting there are other similar settings that were also supplanted.
