Klaus,thanks a lot for the snapshot. It shows that IO is very slow for unknown reason. Isn't ReSharper installed on a remote drive? Do you have any anti-virus software running?

it was incurred by .disco files in web references, that were not processed correctly by R#The upcoming nightly build #339 will contain the fix

Yes, there is a free upgrade to any 4.5.x build.But before you install 4.5.2 could you please attach another instance of VS to the one with hanging "Loading assemblies" and capture all the stacktra...

Attach a VS, click pause and copy stacktraces of all threads in stacktrace toolwindow
