New user and ReSharper is slowing me down.

I'm writing Blazor apps with VS 2022. Just getting to know ReSharper and it does some really helpful stuff, but also is driving me nuts with some quirky behavior - similar to that described in this recent post (Vs2022 with ReSharper trying to edit code jumps all over the place and interferes with normal typing.). I'm sure there's some settings I could change to make this better, but I haven't found them yet.

  1. If I make any edit to an html tag, as soon as the cursor leaves the tag, it automatically tabs the whole tag to the right. And then I have to fix it. Over and over...
  2. VS on its own was smart about closing quotes, but with ReSharper this isn't working at all. I'll type a quote or apostrophe to begin a string for example, and then when I type the closing quote, it automatically creates another like it's not aware of the first. I end up with a phrase like "string"". Or 'string''.
  3. I have a fast system with 64gb ram, but after some hours of continuous use, VS gets really slow using 80-100% cpu non-stop. If I close the project in VS and then reopen it, the performance returns. I have followed all of ReSharper's hints about which ReSharper options I should adjust to improve performance. This didn't occur before installing ReSharper.

I'm a paid subscriber, running Win 10 with all the latest patches, and with the latest versions of VS & ReSharper. Any suggestions for improving my issues?

Thank you,

Sbarash

Hello Sbarash,

thank you for the feedback.
Could you please provide videos/screencast demonstrating the issue with tags and quotes?
Concerning slow downs please provide a performance snapshot as described in the [article](https://resharper-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207243205-How-to-collect-a-performance-snapshot-and-send-it-to-JetBrains-Team)? Please specify the steps that lead to the problem in the snapshot details.
We'd be really grateful for assistance.

Thank you.
