CodeLens works fine for me - VS2019 Pro (16.0.3) with R# 2019.1, so I doubt it's the desired functionality. :)

I suspect you'll need to add the ContractAnnotation attribute to the method. [ContractAnnotation("null => true")]public static bool IsNullOrEmpty<T>(this IEnumerable<T> target)

Unfortunately, that's not an option. The templates are within a CSHTML file, and are being built dynamically based on the view-model.
