Resharper autocompletes methods names to underscore

When I type the name of a method and press Tab/Enter to autocomplete it, instead of having the full name printed, I get this:

_	();

After disabling Resharper within the project, the problem doesn't occur, so it looks like there's some strange interaction happening with the extension.

I'm using Visual Studio Community 2019 (Version 16.2.5) and Resharper Ultimate 2019.2.2.

Hello Vladimir,

Thank you for the feedback.

Is the problem reproduced in a newly created solution?

Could you please provide some screencast demonstrating the problem (e.g. using this tool)?

Thank you.

I am having the same issue, but only in my working solution. In a simple newly created solution it cannot be reproduced. I've tried clearing out R# cache. I am running VS 2019.16.3.6 and R# 2019.2.3

Hello Nick,

Thank you for the provided info.

Do you have any StyleCop/Editorconfig settings used in your project?

Could you please run Visual Studio with the following command line: 'devenv /ReSharper.LogFile c:\log\resharper.log /ReSharper.LogLevel Verbose', reproduce the issue and send us a corresponding 'resharper_log.txt' file. You cah share it privately via 'Submit a request' form.

Thank you.

Hi. I don't have any style editing extensions apart from R# itself. I've reproduced the issue with logging on and there is clearly some kind of an exception there. I've submitted my information through the Submit a request form.

@Vladimir Melnikov, @Nick Sologoub, we'd be grateful if you could provide us some sample solution in which the problem is reproduced.

Thank you.

This is weird but I can't seem to be able to reproduce this any more, neither in my work solution nor a separate one. Lets hope this was a temporary glitch in the matrix. If it comes back I will try to get a sample solution for you to reproduce the issue.

Hello,
we have the same issue and had to downgrade to the previous version.

Was this resolved in the Dec 11,2019  release ?

Thanks

Itamar

Hello @...,

Unfortunately, we couldn't reproduce the specified problem.

Please try updating to ReSharper 2019.3 version and check if it helps.
If the problem is still reproduced some stripped solution demonstrating the problem will be helpful. You can share with us via "Submit a request" form at the top of the page.

Thank you.
