Resharper performance, shortcuts not working and no detection of unit tests
Hi,
I've a big Visual Studio 2017 solution with more than 60 individual projects that target different framework : full .NET, .NET core, db projects, SSIS projects, PS projects, Unit Tests projects ( xUnit as the testing framework )
After installing ReSharper the performance of the solution was severely degraded, the unit tests are not discovered at all, most the code lines are red and lot of shortcuts are not doing anything except Resharper is thinking click esacpe to cancel to no avail.
I cleared the resharper cache from the options and the red lines are gone after restarting but the other symptoms are still there. I ran devenv with resharper logging and I'm seeing a lot of the following exceptions:
EXCEPTION #1/2 [NotSupportedException]
Message = “The remotable text control implementation does not support pixel coordinate operations.”
The above one happens all the time and also happens when I click run unit tests item from resharper or on a unit test file
EXCEPTION #1/2 [MissingMethodException] -
when I try the shortcut go to implementation on a method call.
Any ideas?

Please try disable the option 'Optimize rendering for screens with different pixel densities' in VS Tools | Options | Environment | General and check if it helps.

In case you experience problems with unit testing or other ReSharper features in VS 2017, please try update it to the latest 15.9 version.
It works to some extent after the VS2017 update to 15.9 but the performance is pretty bad I keep getting the famous error message:
Is there anything I can do to stop Resharper from doing anything in the background that is causing such delay, I have to restart Visual Studio couple of times a day now because it keeps freezing which didn't use to happen before installing Resharper.
You guys need to work on that, I advocated for getting licenses for my team and now my lead is complaining to me about the slow-downs.
