Performance problems while debugging

I'm using the latest R# (2018.3.4) and VS 2017 (15.9.8). Currently i'm working on a solution which uses NHibernate.

I have a performance problem when i step through methods which executes NHibernate LINQ queries. The first processed query hangs for a couple of seconds. But the more often i step over such a query, the longer the debugger hangs. After the third time or so i have to restart the application, because the debugger seems to be in an endless loop.

If i disable the Editor adornments and data tips in the debugger options the problem is gone. If i disable R# debugging is significant faster.

The problem occurs also with  Visual Studio 2019 RC (16.0.0 RC1.SVC1) .

Best Regards

Andreas

Hello Andreas!

Sorry for delay in responding.
Could you please provide performance snapshot as described in the article? Please specify the steps that lead to the problem in the snapshot details.
We'd be really grateful for assistance.

Thanks in advance.

Also please run Visual Studio with the following command line: 'devenv /ReSharper.LogFile C:\resharper_log.txt /ReSharper.LogLevel Verbose', reproduce the issue and send us a corresponding 'resharper_log.txt' file. You can share it privately via 'Submit a request' form.

Thank you.

Hello Andreas!

Unfortunately there's no snapshot file attached to your performance report.

Could you please open a file location (Context menu for an attached snapshot | Open File Location) and upload the snapshot file manually to JB servers as described here https://resharper-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207635255-Uploading-Large-Files-for-JetBrains-Support-Team

Thank you.
