ReSharper and Visual Studio contentions
Hello,
I've been using ReSharper for many, many years and now I'm seriously considering of getting rid of it mainly because the more features Visual Studio and ReSharper get the competition in terms of user experience gets bigger and it becomes pretty challenging to manage.
- Quick Actions and ReSharper suggestions/fixes don't get alone very well, even when you check the override options, the context menu won't show up at times so I need to suspend ReSharper and resume it in order for it to work again.
- Visual Studio keyboard scheme somehow gets messed up by ReSharper or whatever and I need to reset it.
p.s. I'm going to create an issue about the degradation in user experience for ReSharper users on the Roslyn repo soon, just to make it fair.
Best regards,
Eyal Solnik

Hello Eyal!
Thank you for the feedback.
We really appreciate any critical comments and to do our best for improving user experience we'd like to ask you to provide some details on the problems you've experienced with ReSharper:
Thank you.
1. Sorry but I can't provide examples/screenshots because I've disabled ReSharper for the time being, also, I don't think that a screenshot would demonstrate the problem or an example because it happened to me on multiple codebases.
2. I'm currently using Visual Studio 2017 15.5.4 and used ReSharper 2017.3.1 but then the bug that causes me to reset things happened to me on Visual Studio 2015 and on different versions of ReSharper.
I really don't know what caused it and it happened to me occasionally but not often.
Hello Eyal!
Thank you for the reply.
Sorry to know there's no chance you could provide more details on the problems. Currently being out of context we cannot guess what the problems you've experienced and have no way to reproduce the issues. Screenshots/examples or any other details are very helpful in such case.
If there's any chance you'd like to try ReSharper once again we'll be very grateful about any feedback of yours.
Thank you.
