Multiple Installations? Installation Failures?!?

I've run into a problem with Resharper. I recently installed VS2026 alongside VS2022. Somehow, I ended up with >>two<< Resharper installs, both for both versions of VS, but in different directories.

I deleted what appeared to be the second one, and then ran a repair on the first one, making sure it covered both VS2022 and VS2026. This was done from inside Toolbox.

It claimed it succeeded…but when I launched VS2026, Resharper was >>not<< installed, but I was offered a “Resharper installer”. So I ran >>that<< from inside VS2026, again configuring it to cover both VS2022 and VS2026. 

Unfortunately, the VS2022 install failed (I looked at the log and couldn't find a message related to the failure – way too much detail for casual review). All the other components succeeded. FWIW, Toolbox reports that Resharper is installed for both VS2026 and VS2022.

I am so used to JetBrains stuff “just working” that I'm at a loss as to how to proceed. What the heck is going on?!?
