Macro marker escaping

Hello,

In one of my LTs I had a need to use $ character in the comment text
(actually, that was just a file header stub with $Id$ Subversion keyword). I
found no way to tell R#er not to treat this dollar character as a marco
marker.

So the question is: is there any way to do such an escaping? If not, maybe I
can post a feature request for this. I think $$ sequence (or something like
this) would be OK.
