Feature request: Search for types (Ctrl + N) on opening new solution

When I open a new solution and I want to immediatly start searching
for a type by hitting Ctrl + N is not possible. You need to first go
into code view before Ctrl + N can be used. It would be a nice feature
if it was possible to search for types when there are no windows open.
