there's an easy way to check such things - just disable ReSharper in Tools|Add-In
Manager
and look if the situation changes. I personally don't know such a message.
Also, from your description
it's not clear if VS eventually crashed or became responsive again.

Is that one of your messages?

If so, I just opened 3 HTML files (no solution nothing) and edited
them, clicked save... and well that message remained at the bottom of
VS2005 for about 15 minutes and all my work wasn't saved.
