[402] Crashes Visual Studio 2005
Hi,
i've deinstalled 2.5.363 and installed 3.0.402 (with an
Adminstrator-Account) on Vista, Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and Vista Updates for
SP1 Final.
I started Visual Studio on my normal User Account, then ReSharper
initialized the Menu. I entered the Evaluation License Key.
THEN i've loaded my current project -> Visual Studio crashed (no Exception)

PS: Please provide also an .exe based setup, 'cause it's easier to "Run as
Administrator" with an .exe

FYI: I loaded a solution with 9 projects, all C#.

Is this beheviour reproducible for you every time you load a solution into
Studio?
My mechine has the same config as yours, but I cannot reporduce this.
If so, could you very kindly try to debug studio with CLRDbg.exe and set
exception breakpoint on every thrown CLR exception, then post the stacktraces
either here or directly to me dmitry.lomov(at)jetbrains.com, please?
BTW, I believe it is recommenede to run VS2005 under admin in Vista, even
with Vista Updates for SP1.

I tryed it two times. it crashes evertime. The Solution has 20 C#
Assemblies, 2 Web, 1 Web Application, 1 Web Deployment´and 1 Genome
OR-Mapper Project.
Well, not today ... today i must do some work. I will try one of the next
nightly builds.
I can live with the limitations running not as an admin.
I work since several years as nonadmin, and visual studio or vista will not
change that.

No, not on my Vista Machine. I've have installed mbUnit, but not my mbUnit
PlugIn for ReSharper.

Same problem here. Build crashes when loading an existing project. Have no problems with creating a new project.

Hello jafin,
it seems that the problem may be related to project-specific ReSharper options,
if it doesn't happen with new projects. Could you please
try to temporarily rename .resharper files for the solution (they normally
reside near the *.sln file) where it occurs, so that ReSharper doesn't find
them and open the solution again?

One more piece of information:
Build 404 still crashes.
When I am working with build 363 (I did not download 364 yet, learned today
there was this latest version ;), right clicking on any item (project as
well) throws an exception, which I can submit, then the right-click menu
appears. (happens every single time - did send a lot of these exceptions ;)
Rest just works as it should: GREAT.
