Resharper 2.0 constantly generating exceptions
I used the beta version of Resharper 2.0 with VS 2005 and had nasty problems with the Server Explorer and Data Projects - lots and lots of exceptions generated through jetbrains bug-tracking system.
As soon as I tried the 2.0 release version, the same thing started happening.
Is this a problem or (go ahead, tell me) am I nuts?
I just de-installed Resharper so I could get some work done. But, as usual, I can't live without it.
Thanks,
Kimball

Hello Kimball,
Have you submitted the exceptions?
Thanks,
Andrey Simanovsky
Andrey,
I submitted dozens of exceptions with the beta version, most of them duplicates and got replies with your name attached indicating that they had been logged as duplicates.
As I said, I don't have time to go through that again (at the moment) so I deinstalled so I could work. I'm sure you understand.
However, my question remains? Am I nuts? It it not true that Resharper 2.0 with the Visual Studio Hotfix that takes nearly 20 minutes to install has problems with the Data Projects and the Server Explorer?
Please let me know yes or no or just tell me I'm nuts.
Thanks,
Kimball Johnson
Kimball,
We did some testing with Data Projects and Server Explorer and fixed some
issues including expections that were reported in Beta. However, the testing
was not exhaustive in any way. Most probably, either you use some scenario
with Visual Studio that we overlooked, or your projects have some pecularities
that we did not test. Anyway we will need your help in reproducing the exceptions.
Could you post the screenshot when the exception happens with the exception
dialog made small enough for us to see the layout of open Visual Studio toolwindows?
Thanks,
Andrey Simanovsky
Ok, I'm going to re-install Resharper 2.0 for VS 2005. Then we can continue this.
Thanks very much,
Kimball
Well, I'm sorry.
I was able to install Resharper 2.0 on two systems and have had no problems.
I'm guessing the ms hotfix didn't install properly the first time.
Thanks for your help.
