Background Loading?

Do you plan to do background loading of a project instead of always displaying the loading progress bar? This can be a lengthy operation depending upon solution size.
This is not probable since most operations, for example, Find Usages or Go to Declaration, require that greater part of project information is present.
ReSharper persists necessary between solution startups, so subsequent solution openings should be faster and comparable to the time it takes VS to open a project. If it is not so and you have ReSharper caches for the solution enabled (Tools\Options\ReSharperSolution pane), please, post information about your system (processor, memory, os), solution you are trying to open (approximate size and number of files, assemblies referenced) and the time it takes to open.

I have a solution with 5 projects and about 300 files. Though my machine is a 3GHz P4 w/ HT and 1GB RAM, ReSharper's load dailog is shown for about 10 seconds. Caching is enabled.
How about starting ReSharper in background and disabling Find Usage etc until ReSharper has finished its initialization? I've never used such functionality during the first 30 seconds the IDE is loaded ;)

we realize that showing modal window during solution load is somewhat annoying and consider options for performing this in background, although I cannot definitely promise that we'll implement it in the nearest future.
