Code Completion still messes up

Resharper is a wonderful tool, but the problems it gives me with the intellisense are REALLY hurting my development. Is there any indication when we'll see this fixed?
I'm talking about how it refuses to let me select ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING in any of the lists it shows. It absolutely under no circumstances one single time has worked properly in letting me select anything. Regardless of what it is listing. I cannot select with the mouse, with the keyboard arrow keys, anything. It does nothing but impede things.

There was a known problem in all previous builds that on some color schemes (including XP Silver) there was no selection marker in lookup list. If it's your case, it's fixed in 77. 77 will be available most probably in several hours.

No. I'm saying that regardless of the color scheme, computer, anything. There has not been one single instance in which the code completion/intellisense has worked 'at all' for me. I've had to completely disable it to get anything to work. I've tried it on 12 different machines ( friend's computers ) and it still refuses to work right.

Hm... I completely don't understand what do you mean by saying that code completion doesn't work "at all". Doesn't it appear on Ctrl+Space or after dot or it appears but doesn't let you choose anything useful? Or something else?

It has a selection highlight, but it never highlights the correct thing. I click on Item 1, and Item 10 gets highlighted, and it's completely random, and it starts glitching graphically, etc, etc. This is the case on every machine I have tried it on, all of them running Windows 2000 or XP Professional with Visual Studio.NET 2003.

Furthermore, trying to select manually with the arrow keys does not fix the problem either. In addition, when I try to hit "enter' or anything to just make it go away or auto-complete, it errors on me and I've reported the bug to the Tracker 'several' times.

This is a very strange behaviour. What exactly happens when you hit up/down key? Does it select a random item? Do you have any other productivity plugins in your VS.NET environment?

Sorry if I'm sounding frantic. It's just that I REALLY like Resharper, but this impeding problem is about to drive me to insanity.
Alright. Here's the whole thing...
I have tried it with 12 Different machines. Ranging from a Pentium III at 900 Mhz to a Pentium 4 at 3.2 Ghz with Hyperthreading, all of which had at minimum 512 MB of DDR RAM, maximum of 2 GB DDR RAM. Three machines were Athlon XP's from 1700 to 2200 with the same RAM specs.
All machines are running Visual Studio.NET Professional 2003 with all Windows Security Patches installed for their respective operating systems. All of them except for an Athlon XP Machine ( 2200 ) and one of the P4 Machines ( 1.7 Ghz ) were running Windows XP Professional with Default Luna theme. the other two machines were running Windows 2000 Professional with the latest Service Packs / Security Fixes
MSDN Library October Updates installed to all the libraries.
Whenever I'm typing code, let's say the Console class..
Console.
as soon as I hit the '.', the intellisense pops up, right? It lists all the methods of the console class, etc.
I try to select "WriteLine" and it'll select something totally random, and not only that but it's all glitchy. It isn't 'completely' selected. Part of the selection will remain blue, while the other part is just distorted and messed up, etc. I try to use the arrow keys and it randomly selects something else. Please note that I say 'random', because it will not always select the same one, each time I try it's different ( I just backspace and try the dot operator again and it selects something totally different ).
This happens with any form of intellisense or when using the Ctrl+Space. It happens with both the mouse, and the keyboard arrow keys. The Graphics cards I assure you are not causing this, They're not weak or non-standard graphics cards in any aspect, nor are the monitors having dificulties. I have no other plug ins in Visual Studio.NET.

do you experience the same problem with selection in other ReSharper popup forms (Goto type (Ctrl + N), Goto inheritors (CtrlAltB) etc)? Or do those popups work properly?
Sorry if I've missed this information from your previous posts.

When the completion list is up, is your mouse pointer sitting over it? I have noticed that if I have the mouse pointer sitting in a location such that it ends up over the menu that pops up, the selection keeps "bouncing" back to the item under the pointer. But if that is the case, you should be able to select it directly with the mouse (or move the pointer so it is no longer is over the list and select it with the keyboard).
Ok. 'so far' it seems to be fixed in .77. However I might add that the Listbox still does not respond to the scrollwheel. this is not a bug, I believe it is just a cosmetic thing that you might want to add. Thanks for your fast responses. Sorry if I sounded a bit rude, It was just starting to irk my nerves because I couldn't find any cause for it. I'll let you know if it gives me any more smack! XD.

Derek,
I'm not sure what exactly do you mean by intellisense problems, but if
you mean its performance in build 76 I can say that in 77th it's much
better.

Derek,
There was a known problem in all previous builds that on some color
schemes (including XP Silver) there was no selection marker in lookup list.
If it's your case, it's fixed in 77. 77 will be available most probably in
several hours.

There has not been one single instance in which the code
completion/intellisense has worked 'at all' for me. I've had to completely
disable it to get anything to work. I've tried it on 12 different machines
( friend's computers ) and it still refuses to work right.

Derek,
Hm... I completely don't understand what do you mean by saying that code
completion doesn't work "at all". Doesn't it appear on Ctrl+Space or after
dot or it appears but doesn't
let you choose anything useful? Or something else?

It has a selection highlight, but it never highlights the correct thing. I
click on Item 1, and Item 10 gets highlighted, and it's completely random,

Derek,
This is a very strange behaviour. What exactly happens when you hit
up/down key? Does it select a random item? Do you have any other
productivity plugins in your VS.NET environment?
Did you have this problem on all builds?

Sorry if I'm sounding frantic. It's just that I REALLY like Resharper, but
this impeding problem is about to drive me to insanity.
Alright. Here's the whole thing...
I have tried it with 12 Different machines. Ranging from a Pentium III at
900 Mhz to a Pentium 4 at 3.2 Ghz with Hyperthreading, all of which had at
minimum 512 MB of DDR RAM, maximum of 2 GB DDR RAM. Three machines were
Athlon XP's from 1700 to 2200 with the same RAM specs.
All machines are running Visual Studio.NET Professional 2003 with all
Windows Security Patches installed for their respective operating systems.
All of them except for an Athlon XP Machine ( 2200 ) and one of the P4
Machines ( 1.7 Ghz ) were running Windows XP Professional with Default Luna
theme.
the other two machines were running Windows 2000 Professional with the
latest Service Packs / Security Fixes
MSDN Library October Updates installed to all the libraries.
Whenever I'm typing code, let's say the Console class..
Console.
as soon as I hit the '.', the intellisense pops up, right? It lists all the
methods of the console class, etc.
I try to select "WriteLine" and it'll select something totally random, and
not only that but it's all glitchy. It isn't 'completely' selected. Part of
the selection will remain blue, while the other part is just distorted and
messed up, etc. I try to use the arrow keys and it randomly selects
something else. Please note that I say 'random', because it will not always
select the same one, each time I try it's different ( I just backspace and
try the dot operator again and it selects something totally different ).
This happens with any form of intellisense or when using the Ctrl+Space. It
happens with both the mouse, and the keyboard arrow keys. The Graphics cards
I assure you are not causing this, They're not weak or non-standard graphics
cards in any aspect, nor are the monitors having dificulties. I have no
other plug ins in Visual Studio.NET.
This happens with 100% of the time.

Derek,
do you experience the same problem with selection in other ReSharper popup
forms
(Goto type (Ctrl + N), Goto inheritors (CtrlAltB) etc)? Or do those popups
work
properly?
Sorry if I've missed this information from your previous posts.

When the completion list is up, is your mouse pointer sitting over it? I
have noticed that if I have the mouse pointer sitting in a location such
that it ends up over the menu that pops up, the selection keeps "bouncing"
back to the item under the pointer. But if that is the case, you should be
able to select it directly with the mouse (or move the pointer so it is no
longer is over the list and select it with the keyboard).

Ok. 'so far' it seems to be fixed in .77. However I might add that the
Listbox still does not respond to the scrollwheel. this is not a bug, I
believe it is just a cosmetic thing that you might want to add. Thanks for
your fast responses. Sorry if I sounded a bit rude, It was just starting to
irk my nerves because I couldn't find any cause for it. I'll let you know if
it gives me any more smack! XD.
