Lots of cannot resolve messages when using Resharper #79 on Compact Framework project
Hi,
I'm trying to use Resharper on multiproject compact framework solution and I
get lots of 'cannot resolve symbol ...' messages. Even System namespace
isn't resolved. Is there a remedy? I've used previous builds but since #79
the problems got worse.
With regards,
René

Hi,
ReSharper currently loads assemblies referenced in your projects via
Reflection,
but Reflection does not work with Compact Framework executables on desktop
systems
(this is a known issue / feature). We're now working on custom assembly
loader that will allow
to load Compact Framework assemblies. Custom assembly loader should also
have way better
performance.
Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any workaround for your problem. Not sure
why the situation got
worse in #79 as compared with previous builds - could you please tell more
details?

Dmitry,
Thanks for the quick reply. I don't know why but in the last build I used
#77 there were less cannot resolve messages. It's also possible that I
changed some of my projectsettings cq. references, so I'm not 100% sure that
the current build is worse than #77. But now it's gotten to the point that
ReSharper is 'useless' in my project because intellisense doesn't work,
because all System namespaces couldn't be resolved. I guess I have to wait
until you finished the custom loader. By the way, I think Resharper is
great!
Greetings,
René
Due to this problem can I disable Resharper only for one solution?
In this case I can continue using resharper for normal framework solutions
and disable resharper for compact framework solutions.
thanks,
Alessandro

Alessandro,
you can disable it manually. I don't think there is a way for ReSharper to
disable itself automatically.
