I know it is probably way to early for you to answer my question but do you have any idea what the IDE will cost. I'm trying to decide if I'm going for VS2005 + R2.0 or for the R-IDE. I've already got R1.5 so my upgrade to R2.0 should be free (if I understood correctly).
Even if you can't provide any numbers (which I would surely understand) can you atleast provide some hints on how the pricing would work out for the VS2005 + R2.0 vs R-IDE comparison??

We have not discussed this in detail ... however, if I were betting, I'd say it would be practical for us to start the ReSharper IDE at 400 to 450 USD for version 1.0 .... this is just going to depend upon how feature rich it becomes. It could be more .... won't know more until we near the end of the EAP (you've got to wait a while). There will probably be some special incentive for Resharper plugin users to jump to the IDE, too, but again, it's way too early to give specifics ...

$450! In that case I'm buying XDevelop.
Well, as I said, nothing is official ... we'll have to wait and see. I'm just throwing it out since our Java IDE is 499 USD ... I don't think the first version of our C# IDE is going to be as feature packed, but I've been surprised before ... it'll definately be worth whatever price tag we put on it, that much is for sure ... after all, does anyone here feel they've been short-changed by our products before? I most certainly hope not ...

Multiple Languages: C#, VB.NET Multiple Target Runtimes: Java/Java 5.0, Mono, .NET 1.1/.NET 2.0 Also runs on Linux (Although no .NET if on linux) Loads Visual Studio solutions. And most features you'd expect from an IDE:
Downsides:
No Form Designer. A few bugs, but expected with a 1.0

I suspect most of people need either a Java IDE or a .NET IDE, not both. As for .NET frameworks we will support .NET 1.1, .NET 2.0 and probably Mono as target frameworks.

Doesn't it support Mono development on linux? I think this is the market where they can have success.

Our IDE will support C# and VB.NET
