[219] Color Coding
I am having several problems with color coding and wondering if this is related to having the last 10 EAPs on my machine or if 219 is experiencing color coding issues.
I've tried the devenv.exe /setup trick but that didn't do anything. Are there any other "reset" tricks?
I'm willing to put some time into reporting my current issues but I want to make sure that I'm experiencing issues that are a result of the current code and not previous build remnants. Suggestions?

1). Resharper color coding doesn't work at all if 'enable highlighting' is turned off. Basically VS color coding is only in effect.
2). Under highlighting, If enable highlighting is turned on, but the second checkbox is unchecked (I'm not at my workstation, don't remember exact name of it), color coding for 'Show warning' items works, but for nothing else. Also, the colors it uses for the warnings seem to come from nowhere. For example, I had a couple of event handlers that were not wired and the method names for those were displayed as black on black. Nowhere in the R# color settings do I have black on black.
3). If I enable both checkboxes for highlighting, I get full R# color coding, but none of the colors match what they are set to in the fonts and colors settings.
I use a color scheme of black background and usually a combination of yellow, white, lime and a couple of other custom colors.
That's how these 2 options work. Unchecking "Enable highlighting" disables
all of ReSharper's code highlighting, unchecking "Enable identifier highlighting"
disables color-coding of symbol names but leaves syntax errors and warnings
detection. Would you suggest better names for the options if they are confusing?
Do you use Visual Studio 2005? There is a known bug in it which makes all
custom colors incorrect. They will fix it in a hotfix which should appear
soon (they promised in Febraary!).

Yeah, I was confused.
Suggested name for first item:
'Enable ReSharper Color Coding' (or 'Enable Color Coding')
For the second one, you said it perfect:
'Enable Syntax Error and Warning Detection'
Well, today's the last day of February, and they're on the Pacific coast, so
they still have a few more hours to get it to you. You might want to nudge
them, though, since this is a rather critical hot-fix. You can't release
your product without it, after all.

Why not use 'code coloring' instead of 'color coding'? Color coding seems
to be from a different story to me,
it's about RGB/CMYK and so on...

Works for me. Yeah, code coloring is more descriptive.
In fact they do have it. And gave it to us couple months ago. But only for
purposes of testing and we cannot redistribute it. So you have to wait for
official release of the hotfix.

Thanks. But it's not quite correct. In fact, the first option disables all
of the highlighting (and unchecking it disables the second option and all
of the options below on the page). So 'Enable Color Coding' is ok the first
option, but 'Enable Syntax Error and Warning Detection' is not quite correct
for the first one.

I'm afraid this hotfix does not have any KB number yet, as it's not public
yet. We are working on getting redistributable version of the fix from MS.
Unfortunately this company seems to be a very bureaucratic one...
