[231] Wow
build 231: i am under hardcore hallucinations -
fastest source parsing, and code completion
what i ever see in R#.
I can notice it on my old Athlon XP 2000+
What is a secret of build? Bugfixes only?
Thanx.

We worked on some optimizations. Glad to see that someone notice the result!

It became subjective twice more quickly on my office computer.
As this kind its not much differ to VS w/o R# and possible for normal work.
My home computer is too fast to notice anythin - TES IV: Oblivion give me
45-60 FPS on higher settings ;))
Thanx.
It's soooooooooooo fast!!!!
A huge improvement!!
Now it's come back usable, Great Job
great job guys! much better in my machine too
Definitely much faster on mine too...and it looks like you've fixed the bug
where IDE crashes on shutdown too :) Thanks!

Just installed it back...
And what a pleasure!

Great job on 231! Fast and stable.
+1.
Its realy stable.
I guess I"m not seeing the dramatic speedup you guys are seeing. Start-up
time is still unbearably slow.
If nothing else, I wish they could dramatically reduce the time between the
launching the application (seeing the splash-screen), and having the
application frame come up with no solution loaded. That seems excessively
long. Without Resharper, it's at most a few seconds.
The start-up costs are significant for those of our developers who have to
stop and restart Visual Studio several times a day.
I've had to turn off "pop up intellisense on typing" because it was so buggy
and laggy, even under this latest version.
I sure hope they have more speed-ups planned before release.

I am definitely seeing speed up. Our solution has 14000+ files and it takes
may be 5-10 seconds for R# to parse all the assemblies.
The speed of pop-up is not that great, though it is still faster in 231 than
previous version.

Be shure, its much faster than prevous builds.
I think its based on solutions.
On a fat projects clear VS startup is not so fast too.
What is your differences between clear VS and VS+R# ?
If VS+R# twice slower than clear VS - its a great, because
R# must do at least an equivalent parsing work like VS.
Hello Paul,
what exactly do you mean by 'start-up time'? Is it the time needed to launch
VS with no solution loaded
or the time spent parsing your solution? Thanks.

Launching VS with no solution.
