2.0 Released, what's next?
First, congratulations with the official 2.0 release.
However, I am kind of worried. I hope this does not mean that development
effort on R# will decrease. I still have to restart VS2005 a few times a day
because of the bug with popup menus not getting focus. So, although the bug
itself does not seem as an important error, it costs me lots of time each
day, (also because another bug of R# causes R# windows not to reappear after
restart, e.g. file structure, unit test runner).
Regards,
Patrick

Hello Patrick,
the bugfix update for ReSharper 2.0 including fixes for critical issues is
planned to release in approx. 2 month time.

Patrick,
You should not worry, the development will not stop. That very annoying
problem with popups is most likely to be fixed and the fix will be included
into the bugfix update.

In my experience with JetBrains over the past few years they have a very
good track record of continually improving their products regardless of what
phase of the release cycle they are in. I would be surprised if they didn't
start issuing "2.0.1" EAP versions quite soon to address any outstanding
issues, with an official 2.0.1 release becoming available as soon as they're
able. You can probably also expect to see 2.0.2, 2.0.3 etc builds over the
coming months as required. Plus of course there's the EAP for 2.5/3.0 to
look forward to! :)
Dmitry, Sergey and Chris,
Thanx for the responses.
I will be looking forward for things to come.
Patrick
P.S. Except for this bugs, R# 2.0 rocks!
And EAP builds of 2.0.1 with critical issues fixed will appear much earlier.
Probably in 1-2 weeks.

Great to hear....EAP is an addictive habit! ;)
Hi,
I just wanted to add some additional info about popup menus not getting
focus.
I can reproduce it by setting the properties of a project. Whenever I leave
the project properties window and go back to the editor, popup menus don't
get focus anymore.
Hope it helps.
Regards,
Patrick

We made some changes in the build #250 which should fix the bug with popups
not getting focus. Please try to reproduce it in the build #250.

I think you have fixed it, as I cannot longer reproduce it.
Thanks (this saves me lots of time!)
