Updating to newer nightly build ?
Hi,
Can you briefly clarify the recommended procedure for installing nightly
builds? I haven't seen any documentation explaining this.
I presume that the current v4.0 should be removed using "Add or Remove
Programs", then the new one installed.
Is that correct?
Are settings maintained? Or do they need to be reconfigured between
installs?

I just install each one over the top of the previous.
If that doen't work, it's a bug, and the purpose of the EAP is to find bugs...

Hello Glen,
Newer nightly builds upgrade previous ones so you don't have to remove
anything. All settings are persisted and the upgrade process should run smoothly.
If it doesn't, it's a bug.

If you install on top of what's there already will it create additional entries in the Add/Remove Programs list?

The installer removes R# products installed for the same Visual Studio version
prior to installing the new ones.
