Syntax Highlighting Failing
Hi all,
The syntax highlighting in resharper (build 164) is failing for some reason.
It was previously working fine. I think the problem is with indexing. When I
open the rather large project, the indexing which would take several seconds
before, now finishes almost immediately. I tried deleting the
_ReSharper. directory, but that had no effect.
Other info: I recently installed Visual Studio 2005, but my problems are in
Visual Studio 2003. Also, I've never installed one of the 2.0 betas.
Any suggestions?

Hello Michael,
what exactly do you mean by failing? Do you get any exception or observe
incorrect highlighting.
In any case, you can try to remove ReSharper's system caches (located in
your user directory).

Ok, I've got it working now, althought I'm not sure exactly what I did to
make it work.
By failing, I meant the highlighting wasn't recognizing any objects (mine or
system). I had removed the application cache also, but that wasn't it. I
noticed that some custom macros I had written weren't working either, and,
when I went to inspect them, VS shut down with a message "Visual Studio has
lost the link to Macros. Your work will be exported to when you quit the application." I fiddled with the macro editor and something restored my custom macros and Resharper. At least I think that was it. I tried a 101 things, but that was the last thing I tired before it started working again, so take it with a grain of salt. Anyway, thanks for you help.
