How to skip code analysis by root folder
My solution is organized as such:
\Clients\
\Clients\A\
\Clients\A\Assets
...
\Clients\B\
\Clients\B\Assets
I'd like to be able to tell Resharper to skip code analysis on any folders under the \ClientsA folder.
The "Edit Items To Skip" dialog lets me select folders and files. However if I attempt to select the "\Clients\A" node in the directory picker, the picker closes and no selected path is returned
However if I select a folder with no sub folders, like \Clients\A\Assets\en-US, I see this in the selected folders list: <Clients>\<A>\<Assets>\en-US.
There a several folders under the Clients\A node, none of which I care about for Code analysis.
How can I select the root folder?
Thanks.

Hi,
Edit Items to Skip does not work if no solution is opened as well as it does not work for subfolders (to avoid accidential code analysis turn off). You need to add every folder manually in the \Clients\A folder to achieve this.
These are projects being developed by other teams, the organization of folders will grow and change over time.
Is there a way to disable code analysis at the project level?
Yep. If your team is using ReSHarper, you may save the setting on Project Shared layer via Settings Management mechanism we introduced some time ago. Check out the following blogposts to learn more about it: http://blogs.jetbrains.com/dotnet/tag/resharper-settings/
Hope it helps. Thanks!
I am the only team member using Resharper. How can I disable code analysis on a project by project basis within the solution?
Well, if the way I described in the 1st message is not suitable for you, I beleive there's no way to achieve that. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thanks.
Alex, Is there a way to skip code analysis on an entire project with out having to specifically exclude each folder in the project?
No, unfortunately ReSharper cannot do that at the moment.
