Problems getting Resharper 8.0.2 in Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate on Windows 7 to work properly

Yesterday I installed Resharper 8.0.2 (JetBrains ReSharper 8.0.2   Full Edition build 8.0.2000.2660 on 2013-09-27T08:18:12) on my windows 7 box with Visual Studio 2013 (

1) Nothing happens when I try to run a code clean up.

2) When I then try to do a "Remove unused directives" in an unused using statement in c# file, I get a popup saying: "Failed to modify documents"

I do not have other extension installed - especially not the Git extension I have seen mentioned in this forum as reason for these problems. I have Git + Tortoise installed though, but that should not have anything to do with VS and resharper.

What is the problem?
