Install R# on two machines?

Am I permitted to install on two separate machines? I wanted to check prior to attempting on the 2nd machine. Both machines are mine.

Hello Jon

Yes, you are permitted to install ReSharper to any number of machines.

Thanks!

You can install but it then tells you that you have to disable the other one which is a completely rubbish if like me you have a laptop and main pc.  Please can you either allow it to be installed on two machines or have a (tiny) amount you add as a second machine charge.  I don't want to pay another £350 just to work on my other machine :-(

Hello Jonathan!

Under our current subscription model, you may run multiple personal licensed copies of ReSharper at the same time across multiple operating systems (like on laptop and desktop for remote debugging client/server apps).

The same is true for the commercial subscriptions, however, there is also an additional requirement: your operating system username (login) must be the same on all the systems where you will run multiple tool copies at the same time.

Thank you.

In which case I am confused.  Both my laptop and my pc are logged into with the same MS user account (hotmail) but I have been informed that I have to disable the other license. I am using my laptop at this moment with the pc running some other stuff in the background (box with 3 buttons enter key, disable this, disable other) appeared.  It is not running on a pc connected to an AD business network so according to both the above statements everything should just work.

I have the latest full version bought about 4 days ago and having it disabled like that will be a real pain.

What do I need to do to make it behave as described?

Thanks

Thank you for the reply.

Could you please specify what OS version are installed on both your laptop and PC?

How does your MS user is specified in C:\Users\ folder on both laptop and PC?

You can submit the info privately via 'Submit a request' form.

Thank you.
