If that's the size of your solutions, unless there's like 8 billion code files in them, I would say yes R# should work on a 32bit machine. But this could directly relate to the # of visual studios ...

I've seen this too, my work around was to bring up the Resharper Unit Test explorer, you can find it under the menu, it's also some shortcut like ctrl+alt+U
