Resharper intellisense interferes with VS "intellicode" suggestions

With R# disabled I will often see the dark grey VS "intellicode" ("... TAB to accept"), which is the VS machine learning system suggesting one or more lines of code. However with R# enabled, these suggestions briefly appear and disappear (flicker) as I type. It looks like the R# intellisense popup is interfering with the display of those suggestions.

If I happen to type a space while typing the line of code then the R# intellisense popup will disappear and the intellicode suggestion will reappear (and I can then press Tab to accept it). However this isn't very convenient, and it would be much better if the intellicode suggestion remained visible while I'm typing (as it does with R# disabled), allowing me to Tab (to accept) the suggestion at any time.
