Warning: files with build action TypeScriptCompile passed to msbuild when compiling for net5.0

Answered

In VS 2019 v16.11.8 with ReSharper 2021.3.2 Build 213.0.20211221.144419 I'm getting the following error.

ReSharper: Warning Project 'MyProject.Web' load finished with warnings|

There are several files at C:\MyProject\Scripts\site.ts with build action TypeScriptCompile passed to MSBuild when compiling for net5.0

I'm unsure how to interpret the warning and hence how to deal with it.

Can you help explain?

Thanks

Hello,

Is there any chance you could provide some sample solution in which the problem is reproduced? You can share it privately via "Submit a request" form or our upload service

Thank you.

I have started getting a very similar message when I first open a large Xamarin-based solution:

"There are several files at C:\MySolution\MyProject\Resources\layout\CalculatorLayout.axml with build action AndroidResource passed to msbuild when compiling for MonoAndroid,Version=v8.1"

Just like the OP above, I have no idea what this message is trying to tell me and what action I should take, and while the message comes with a 'Read More' link in the Notifications windows in Visual Studio, that links takes me to a seemingly-unrelated page:: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/resharper/Configuring_Project_Specific_Properties.html#what_is_solution_model

I am using VS 2019 (v16.11.8) and  ReSharper 2021.3.1 (Build 213.0.20211208.204613)

Thanks!

Jeff Ward, do you have a chance to try installing the latest ReSharper 2022.1 EAP5 and check the issue once again? We fixed a similar issue recently. Thank you!

Hello! I have performed the latest update and also uninstalled and reinstalled ReSharper (for unrelated reasons), and those specific warnings are gone.

Thank you!
