What do people here disable to improve performance?
I have a Core i9 9900K, 64GB of RAM, 2TB NVME SSD and when I do not have Resharper suspended the performance is absolutely horrible. Even typing in the code has major slowdowns. Starting Visual Studio 2019 takes about 30-60 seconds to become responsive. Sometimes it has taken 2 minutes for Resharper to initialize and VS to fully become responsive.
Suspending Resharper causes VS to start up nearly instantly. It takes about 5 seconds after loading a project for it to become responsive. And I experience no issues when I am typing in the code.
I have had Resharper since the Visual Studio 2010 days. I have never had this much of an issue with performance, even on less than max hardware like what I have now. I am very disappointed that even an i9 with 64GB of RAM and NVME SSD is not enough performance.

Hello Nathaniel.
Thank you for the feedback.
To begin with please refer to the following guide - https://www.jetbrains.com/help/resharper/Speeding_Up_ReSharper.html describing how to speed up ReSharper + VS.
Also, we'd be grateful if you could provide performance snapshot as described in the article - https://resharper-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207243205. Please specify the steps that lead to the problem in the snapshot details.
Thank you.
Will the performance snapshot work when VS 2019 is starting up? That is where the most of the issue is.
Could you please then create a performance snapshot by standalone dotTrace as described in the following help article: https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/ReSharper/ReSharper+Profiling+Instructions#ReSharperProfilingInstructions-StandalonedotTraceprofiler
Thanks in advance.
How do I upload to the FTP site? It is asking for credentials and the Guest account will not work.
Hello Nathaniel,
Please try suggestions from the following help article - https://resharper-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207635255.
Thank you.
I uploaded the file via HTTP as the FTP link would not work no matter what I tried.
File name is VS2019_and_Resharper_Performance.zip
