Hello Anton!

Thank you for contacting us.

There's option to export templates in Templates explorer, please refer to the following help article - https://www.jetbrains.com/help/resharper/Templates__Managing_Templates__Importing_and_Exporting_Templates.html.

Thank you.

Thanks for this. But I want to set up backups to take care of this. In the previous versions of Resharper you could save the xml. Where do I find the saved information now in V 2018

Live Templates are stored amongst all ReSharper settings in an xml file '\Documents
and Settings\]]>\Aplication Data\JetBrains\ReSharper\UserSettings.xml'.
So you can backup this file. In the version 2.0 we will provide abilities
to import/export live templates as well as share them between the team.

Hello Anton!

Please try the following actions:

  • Open ReSharper | Templates Explorer | Live Templates;
  • Select needed templates | Click Export icon | Save it;
  • Open ReSharper | Manage Settings | right mouse button click on "Solution team shared" layer | Import from file | Select the file from previous step | OK;

After all, your templates will be included to Team-Shared layer and you may check it in source control for sharing inside the team.

Thank you.
