Window Splitter

I know it's been mentioned before that Resharper eliminates the "window
splitter" that allowes you to just drag and split the window into two views
on the same file, but I was wondering if there was any effort going into 2.0
to restore this ability to do this with the mouse (rather than having to go
to the Window | Split menu).

One of our developers uses this feature all the time, and I just convinced
her to install Resharper (she was the last hold-out) and she's really REALLY
upset over this missing functionality (and doesn't find much value herself
in the addition of the highlight bar that is the reason that it's gone).
She wants a way to either turn off the highlight bar and get her splitter
back, or just have the splitter control returned.

Any word on if she might be happier with 2.0?

Hello Paul,

we'll surely attempt to fix this issue in 2.0. We've received quite
enough complains to consider it a significant problem.

Hello Paul,

We will attemt to fix the problem in 2.0.
Actually, there is a splitter. We just draw over it. But you can still split
windows using a mouse (press it while its pointer somewhere around the upper
right corner of the red/green square drawn by ReSharper on the gutter).
