Hello rudy,

you can remove an orphaned menu entry manually using Tools|Customize|Commands...
Could you please describe in detail how does VS crash when you close it?
Does it
happen always?

Hello rudy,

I suggest that you launch VS, then attach a debugger to it,
set break on any exception and try to close the VS. Debugger should break on
the exception that happens during close, and you'll likely be able to capture

stack traces which you can post here. Unfortunately, it's really difficult
to narrow
down this problem another way.

Hello Ayende,

not sure how useful can be the attached log file - it is only 160 byte long,
so I suspect it doesn't contain
a lot of information. The exception you've posted indeed may happen but it
is harmless, as it is caught in
the SetStatusBarText method. Could you please continue execution and check
other exceptions?

Thanks.

I know that the log is small, but it's all there was.

First Exception:

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException occurred
Message="Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM
component."
Source="EnvDTE"
ErrorCode=-2147467259
StackTrace:
at EnvDTE.StatusBar.set_Text(String pTextc)
at
JetBrains.ReSharper.WindowManagement.VSIntegration.VSWindowManager.SetStatusBarText(String
text, Boolean emphasized) in
c:\TEMP\tmp7C5.tmp\src\VSIntegration\src\WindowManagement\VSWindowManager.cs:line
42

Then I hit continue, and VS close, and about 2 sec after that, I get the VS
crash dialog.
I tried to debug, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

"Develop with pleasure!"

I know that the log is small, but it's all there was.

First Exception:

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException occurred
Message="Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM
component."
Source="EnvDTE"
ErrorCode=-2147467259
StackTrace:
at EnvDTE.StatusBar.set_Text(String pTextc)
at
JetBrains.ReSharper.WindowManagement.VSIntegration.VSWindowManager.Set
StatusBarText(String
text, Boolean emphasized) in
c:\TEMP\tmp7C5.tmp\src\VSIntegration\src\WindowManagement\VSWindowMana
ger.cs:line 42

Then I hit continue, and VS close, and about 2 sec after that, I get
the VS
crash dialog.
I tried to debug, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
