[211] Editor Lock ups in VS.NET '05
Hi,
The editor consistently locks up when I try and insert a new-line in a particular
method. VS.NET nolonger responsed to anything other than close and the Task
manager shows the processor running at about 50%. I've tried turning off
all the ReSharper Options that I could, but it made no difference. I'am also
running CodeRush and Refactor Pro!, so perhaps I'm being overly optimistic.
On the plus side: The unit testing features appeared to be working nicely.
If you can tell my how I can turn everything off other than the unit testing
features that would be a big help in the meantime. Thanks

Hello Barry,
could you please try to disable 'Highlight current line' option (ReSharper|Options|Editor)
and check if that makes difference?

Hello Barry,
interesting, we're not experiencing this problem here. Could you please try
to check if that
option is really what causes lock-ups? Also (if yes), do you experience these
lock-ups on all
files or only on relatively large ones?

Hi Dimitry,
It did it again - even with highlight option turned off. Different source
file this time. None of my source files are exessively large, just a couple
of hundred lines long. However I should point out that I also have CodeRush
with Refactor Pro installed and TestDriven.net, could be interaction or interference
from one of these that is causing the problem?

Hello Barry,
that the cause is in poor interaction is quite feasible. Could you please
try to disable temporarily
other add-ins except for ReSharper (via Tools|Add-In Manager) and check if
the problem persists
after that?
