[211] #13014 Rename with F2 hides file rename

Hello,

tracker says that 13014 is fixed but it is not.

I use german VS2003 (which still needs to assign keyboard shortcuts by
hand! Rename in code window works ok
after assigning F2 to it.

Sincerely,
Stefan Lieser

Stefan,

I have just tried the following in English VS2003:
1. Reset settings to default
2. Made sure 'File.Rename' is assigned to 'Global::F2'
3. ReSharper->Options->ResetShortcuts
4. Made sure 'File.Rename' is still assigned to 'Global::F2'
'ReSharperAddIn2003.Rename' is assigned to 'Text
Editor::F2'
Both renames work.

I'll check it in German VS2003 either.

Both renames work.

Ok, both work for me too now. I had to assign File.Rename (Datei.Umbenennen
in german) to Global::F2 and ResharperAddIn2003.Rename to Text Editor::F2.

So this is too a problem of keyboard shortcut assignments on non-english VS.

Please please please fix this damn keyboard shortcut assign problem!!! I
can't reassign every key each time I install a new R# build.

Sincerely,
Stefan Lieser

Stefen,

The problem is that some shortcuts are not installed automatically or they
really override not-conflicting shortcuts (like 'Global::F2' and 'Text
Editor::F2')?

In the meantime you can create a macro that reasigns your keyboard so
you don't need to do it by hand.

Don't recall the exact property, but is something like Bindings in the
Command object, and you need to set a text string like 'Global::F2'.

Hope it helps,
Pablo

Stefan,

I have just tested against German VS. ReSharper fails to set number of its
shortcuts, including ReSharperAddIn2003.Rename, but it does not spoil
File.Rename either.

maybe it was spoiled by a previous build? I used every EAP since 208 or so.

Stefan,

Could be. If it's possible, try clearing shortcuts and reset. Or wait for a
new build and see, whether it's fixed or not.
