[240] Hidden modal dialog makes VS2005 unusable

Hi,

I formatted a CS file (ctrl-alt-f), and it seemed to hang. Eventually, an MS
error dialog popped up asking if I wanted to send an error report to MS. I
said no.

Somehow I now have a hidden modal dialogue, and it's preventing me from
typing in the text editor window. I can't even close VS without killing it
in taskmanager, because it won't close when there's a modal dialogue open.

In the list of open windows tasks shown by alt-tab, there's an icon that
looks like three colourful rectangles. I don't know if it has anything to do
with my missing modal dialogue, but I can't make it visible via alt-tab, and
there are no text details given with it. After I killed VS, it was gone.

Thanks.

This happens to me too from time to time. But this behavior also occured
when R# is not installed.
I suppose it is a VS problem and doesn't necessarily have to do with
Resharper.

Ciao,
Jens

That sounds like the default icon for a Windows forms application.
