VS2005 ReSharper Colors and an old dead instance

Hi,

I've noticed that some of the ReSharper color settings, like "ReSharper
Field Identifier", aren't having any effect in the editor. Is there
something I need to enable to get them to work. I'm experiencing this
phenomenon on both my desktop and laptop machines.

Another problem I have with my Laptop installation is that VS.NET 05
seems to think that there is another version of ReSharper hanging
around, see screen shot. This ghost has been hanging around for many
version now, have you any idea what I need to do get rid of it. Thanks

Cheers

Hello Barry,

1) In order to make use of certain colors, you need to enable highlighting
of identifiers (ReSharper|Options|Highlighting|Color identifiers)

2) You can remove the orphaned entry manually (Tools|Customize|Commands|Rearrange
Commands)

Why is "Highlighting | Color Identifiers" not enabled by default now that
the hot-fix is in?

Hello Paul,

as far as I know disabling it by default had nothing to do with the colors
problem and hotfix availability. There is a belief
that identifier highlighting greatly increases memory usage of VS and slows
it down because of large numbers of colorized
items created in VS editor.
