Left over devenv.exe processes

Hi,

my devenv.exe processes sometimes stay around forever after closing VS.
Yesterday I had six devenv.exe processes in the task manager, even
though I had already closed all VS windows.

I'm running build 259 but I've noticed that in earlier builds too. It's
a clean installation of VS2003, with no other add-ins installed besides
ReSharper.

I cannot fully reproduce this yet, it just happens after working with VS
for some time.

What could I do to find out what is keeping the processes from exiting?

Hello Markus,

I suggest that you try to attach a debugger to a 'zombied' devenv.exe and
checked what managed threads are doing
('Threads' and 'Call Stack' windows). Thanks in advance.
