Getting black background for R# syntax coloring at VS launch
For the 2nd day now, when I come into work in the morning, boot my PC, launch VS 2008 and open a solution, I get black backgrounds for many items syntax colored by R#. I have to open the Options menu, go to the Fonts and Colors item and click on OK (wihout changing anything) to get the right colors to show. R# keeps showing the right colors after that during the day.

Hello,
The Fonts and Colors are registered with Visual Studio, and it would lose
their presentation from time to time.
We do not know how to handle this behavior yet, as we're not storing the
colors themselves between sessions in any way.

If you could try to get this resolved before 4.0 ships, it would be greatly
appreciated. It's becoming quite annoying to have to constantly open the
Fonts and Colors control panel to restore my highlight configuration. The
problem seems to get much worse when you have multiple instances of VS2008
running at the same time.

Hello Mike,
Try changing background color of problem items to White (or any other color
you use as background) instead of Default. They say, it helps.

Hi Ilya,
I actually have my background set to a dark slate blue, and I still see the
issue pretty often.

Hello Mike,
What is background configuration for ReSharper items? If they are set to
"Default", which should work like "same color as regular text background"
but fails, then try setting them explicitly.

OK, I understand now what you are saying. Currently only my normal text
background is explicitly set. I'll try setting the background for the
individual R# elements and see if that helps.
Thanks,
Mike
