Visual Studio 2008 Resharper Possible Memory Leaks
I used http://memprofiler.com/ Preview 3.5 for profiling memory usage in
Visual Studio of resharper. You can select attach to process and make a
memory snapshot. There where several issues that a lot of objects are kept
alive only by event handlers and no other reference, is this intended design
in resharper or not?
If you want I can send you the .net memory profiler snapshot.
I use this tool a lot to find 3rd party memory leaks the advantage is it can
although track unmanaged memory.
I although have a code file that takes 2-3 minutes or more to analyze (it
has several thousend code lines) should i although send this file ( it is
generated code so not much intelectual property is involved)

Hi Thomas,
We've investigated your request and snapshot so we've found a problem. Thanks a lot! We'll fix it in nearest future. Could you please send us a small solution with the file which is analyzed so long? You can create another 'performance issue' in our bug tracker with the solution sample or send it to me directly to 'olga dot lobacheva at jetbrains dot com'. Thank you for your collaboration.
Regards,
Olga
I added the Test Track entry for the slow performance, The Project is
7ziped.
http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/RSRP-117752
The issue that I added in the Memory Leak Request is only a sample there are
dozens of types that are only kept alive by event handlers. As you might
have seen.
The other issue is if there are so many registered classes in an event that
the event processing although gets slow.
The preview version does although automatically display warnings, about bad
memory practices with an "!"
