R5 Beta 2 - Adding templates to the 'quick' list

Hello,

Just started use Beta 2, very impressed however I seem to be
struggling to find a way to add some of my user templates to the
'quick' list. That was easy in V4.5 but I can't find a way of doing it
with 5.0.

Are there any exceptions? What does the failure look like? What's the VisualStudio
version?

Hi Serge,

I am using VS 2008 SP 2.

I have not seen any exceptions but would not expect them.  What I can't
find is any way to add a user template to the "quick menu"

I have a surround template that wraps a bunch of lines with a wait
cursor.  What I am trying to do is to add that to the list that pops up
when you select the "surround with.." option from the right click menu
in the code editor.

My mistake, did not realise that the surround menu is not you but
VS2008.

ReSharper has its own surround menu, see ReSharper | Edit | Surround with
Template (keyboard shortcut included). Not sure if it's integrated into the
context menu in some way. ReSharper | Live Templates manages its quick list.

Hello,

Wellll, maybe it's our mistake that we're not overriding the VS surround
menu item. Of course it causes much confusion. But possibly there were some
strong reasons not to do that — I'm trying to find out.
