Yellow box in corner then eventual crash

I have started getting some crashes that are ReSharper (5.1.1708.23) related. After some time editing and debugging, normal usage, I will start to get yellow boxes in the lower right of the screen. Sometimes they show text in an odd font, something about an exception or a GDI+ error. They will appear and disappear very quickly over and over, eventually stopping. At that point, the whole VS environment loses its ability to display dialog boxes. If I try to bring one up it will close immediately. After a few more seconds of this, the entire app crashes.

Here is a screen shot of the yellow box.

This never happened with the release 5.0 version. Suspending ReSharper from Tools|Options eliminates the problem.

Note that no exception dialog comes up. I only get the standard WER dialog from Windows and VS then restarts itself.

Hello Scott,

Please run Visual Studio (devenv.exe) with the following command line parameters:

devenv.exe /ReSharper.LogFile "C:\log.txt" /ReSharper.LogLevel Verbose

ReSharper will start recording a log file in C:\log.txt. Just work with Visual
Studio as usual, wait until it crashes and then send us the final log. Thank
you!

I got a log of the crash, and am sending it to you in email.

Did you get the crash report from me? I sent it to Sergey (I don't have your email) but didn't hear back. Just want to make sure it got through.

Hello Scott,

Thank you, I've got the logs and we have been able to take a look at them.
Please uninstall (or disable) all third-party packages and add-ins except
ReSharper and check if this behavior stays.

I should have thought to do that before reporting this. Since disabling my extensions the problem has stopped. I'll narrow it down to find the problem extension and follow up with them. Sorry for wasting your time with this one.

Oh, but it's OK. As the issue is related to R# and affects it badly, it's
good to be aware. For instance, it would be very useful to know the extension
we have problems running together with — both for us and other readers.
