Painfully slow performance with VS.Net 2005/VB.Net

I don't know if it's specific to VB.Net projects, but I've had to turn off resharper when working with a moderately sized VB.Net project (~500 source files). We are using 3.1 build 584. Is there a more recent version that fixes the performance problem? Are any of the nightly builds considered stable?
