I installed R# 4.5.1233.2 evaluation version and integrated it with both VS2005 and VS 2008.
When launching VS2005 after this, when R# first loads, it tries to set up keyboard shortcuts and it takes forever (I had to leave it overnight to finish). Here's what the dialog looks like:
I ran FileMon and saw that it is continuously writing to User.vsk and Current.vsk files. Looking at the file offsets it appears that it is writing to these over and over again in a loop. The files themselves are pretty small - 12KB and 20KB respectively.
I've tried killing the process, unloading R#, re-installing etc but nothing seems to work.
When I look at the process using stack explorer, I see the stack trace like so:
0. [Internal thisFrame, 'M-->U', EnvDTE.Command::set_Bindings] (Source Unavailable)
1. JetBrains.VSIntegration.ActionManagement.VSActionManager.SetupShortcuts (VSActionManager.cs:1882)
2. JetBrains.VSIntegration.ActionManagement.VSActionManager.SetupShortcuts (VSActionManager.cs:1822)
3. JetBrains.Application.Progress.IProgressIndicatorEx.Advance (IProgressIndicatorEx.cs:28)
Same issue in VS2008 but it doesn't take as long. I should mention that my VS application data directory is on the network.
Attaching the FileMon log and the stack trace
Any ideas how I can avoid the pain?
