Question on Structural Find and Replace

Hello,

i've downloaded the public pattern catalog and tried it out. When i select as pattern in the catalog and click on "Search Now" the message "Cannot parse pattern" is shown for each pattern in the catalog.

I'm working with Visual Studio 2008 and R# 5.0 release build (also tried the latest EAP build 1704) on a VB solution.

For testing purpose i created a C# solution. I had to import the pattern catalog again and when i tried a pattern search it works.

Is it really true that structural find and replace only works with C#?

Regards
Klaus

Hello Klaus,

Structural Search and Replace doesn't support VB.NET yet. Thank you!

is it planned to support VB in the near future? In my current project, we plan to substitute our data access layer by another one with a different interface. Structural Find and Replace will greatly reduce the amount of work we have to do to accomplish this task.

Hello Klaus,

Yes, we're planning to support VB in the future, but I'm afraid I cannot
tell when exactly such support will be added. Thank you!
