Code Cleanup compare to Regionerate

How does the Reordering Type Members feature compare to Regionerate.

Here are some specific items that I want to be able to do:

  • Organize specific item to its own region (this is the Regionerate configuration):
    •     <CreateRegion Title="log4net" Style="Visible" PadLastChild="1">
            <PutFields>
              <Where>
                <Static Equals="true" />
                <Name Matches=".*log.*" />
              </Where>
              </PutFields>
          </CreateRegion>
  • Organize Enums into their own region.
  • Organize Events into their own region.
  • Organize Event Handler methods into their own region.
    • By finding methods with have an underscore in their name, i.e. textbox1_Click()
  • Organize Nested Classes into a region
    • And the nested classes also get organized using the same rules.

I see that there is a trial, but if someone can quickly tell me if ReShaper can perform those actions, it would save me some time.

Thanks!!!!!

Hello Brian,

All these actions (organizing specific entities into regions) are possible
with 'Reorder members' feature of ReSharper. Please note that event handlers
will be identified not by an underscore in the method name, but by the fact
that the method was used as event handler. Thank you!

And to get you started, writing type members layout rules is a bit of a pain without the xsd, but you can copy an old xsd version from the forums and use it to help out a bit (see http://devnet.jetbrains.net/message/5259258#5259258 )
