How can I make ReSharper recognize my VS 2008?
I have both VS2008 and VS2010 installed on my machine, when I try to install Resharper 5.1(version 5.1.1753.4 build), it complained VS 2008 was not found on my computer. Checked environment variable, there is a variable called VS90COMNOOLS and has correct value.
Any one know how does resharper find VS, and how can I make it recognize the VS2008? Many thanks.

Finally I installed ReSharper 4.5 today, it correctly recognized VS2008, while ReSharper 5.1 still does not recognize it.

Hi,
I am having the same problem when I try to install ReSharper 5.1.3
I believe the problem is that the installer looks for the registry entry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\InstallDir
I am running Windows XP SP3 and installed VisualStudio 10.0 Express and this key does not exist.
I created the key manually
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\InstallDir="C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\"
And then the installation went further but I got a warning that I need to run c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe with some extra arguments
The only problem is that this executable does not exist in that path. However, there is a file called devenv.exe.config.
Obviously, ReSharper doesn't show up in VS10.0.
I have attached my installation log file.

Actually, ReSharper doesn't work with Visual Studio Express.
