Editor loses selected text focus in certain cases

resharper 6:

I use a black background in vs2010 editor. I have been doing this for over a decade in visual studio. It is getting harder to set up syntax highlighting colors. Using the color editor is like editing through a keyhole or building a ship in a bottle - very difficult.

In the case of:

String.Format("some text {0}", foo.a);

I can't select the text "foo" or "a". The cursor immediately goes to the end of the text I was selecting. This is a resharper problem, I uninstalled it and the selection works normally like all other text.I need to be able to turn this behavior off.
