Resharper 5.1 -> 6 Performance Increase?

Hi there,

I'm thinking about upgrading from resharper 5.1 to version 6... I was wondering if there are any performance increases?

In my new working enviroment I'm finding 5.1 slow and sluggish.

6.0 is definetely slower than 5.x and it has a couple of bugs in special considerations. But there is cool new functionality :))

If you are mostly satisfied with 5.1 you should wait until release 6.1 is coming up.

Hello Angus,

We've fixed several performance problems since ReSharper 5.1, but the speed
may differ based on the languages and technologies you use in your solution.
I'd suggest to install ReSharper 6.0 and evaluate it for 30 days. If performance
doesn't meet your expectations, you can easily go back to ReSharper 5.1.
Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for the information, that is good to know!

I'll put off updating for now as my main concern is pure performance. I don't see why anyone would want a tool, apparently designed to save them time, to be slow and unresponsive!
