Installation of R#6 not working for VS2010 but works for VS2008

Hello,

I am having a very similar issue as described here: http://devnet.jetbrains.net/message/5315752 .

However, the solution provided in that thread does not work.

Installation works for VS2008 but not VS2010. No errors during install or when opening visual studio.

I've worked through the Installation workarounds: http://devnet.jetbrains.net/docs/DOC-1222

There's no 'ReSharper' item in Visual Studio main menu.

There's no 'ReSharper' tab under Tools | Options.

There's no 'ReSharper' entry under Tools | Extension Manager.

There is a 'JetBrains\ReSharper' folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions and the shortcuts in that folder point to the corresponding files in ReSharper installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\JetBrains\ReSharper\v6.0\Bin).

I don't have ThreatFire antivirus.

I have installed dotCover as suggested in the earlier post; however that did not help. It exhibits the same behavior, works in VS2008 but not VS2010.

My coworker and I have tried all kinds of permutations of SP1 vs RTM, run as administrator, etc. No luck.

Any advice?
